Here at Aspire People, we are seeking a HLTA to join a dedicated team at a specialist SEN school in Northampton starting in September 2025.
As a HLTA, you will work closely with class teachers and other support staff to deliver tailored learning and emotional support to pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and complex learning needs. You may also be tasked with leading in certain classes as well as taking charge of the class when the usual class teacher is absent. Your contribution will play a vital role in helping our students achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting pupils in both one-to-one and small group settings
* Taking the lead in certain classes
* Assisting with the planning and delivery of learning activities
* Promoting positive behaviour and inclusion
* Supporting personal care and mobility needs where required
* Working collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists, and families
The Ideal Candidate:
* Holds a HLTA or Level 3 TA qualification with experience working as a HLTA (or equivalent)
* Has experience working in an SEN or mainstream school setting
* Demonstrates patience, empathy, and resilience
* Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Is committed to the safeguarding and well-being of all pupils
