Exciting Opportunity: Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Wanted in Berkhamsted—Starting September 2025!
Are you dedicated to supporting children’s learning and development? Supply Desk is seeking a passionate and experienced higher-level teaching assistant to join a vibrant school community in Berkhamsted from September 2025.
Position Details:
• Location: Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire
• Start Date: September 2025
• Salary: Competitive, based on experience
• Contract: Full-time
Your Responsibilities:
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons across various key stages
• Help develop and implement tailored learning plans to meet individual pupils’ needs
• Provide focused one-to-one support to pupils requiring additional help
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages learning
• Support lesson planning and contribute to dynamic classroom activities
• Track pupil progress and provide meaningful feedback to encourage growth
What We’re Looking For:
• Previous experience as an HLTA or in a similar educational support role is preferred
• A genuine passion for helping children thrive and reach their potential
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organisational skills and effective time management
• A proactive, adaptable team player with a flexible approach
