Location: Burnley
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-Time | 5 Days a Week | Full Academic Year

Are you a passionate and experienced HLTA looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people? We're recruiting for a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive Alternative Provision Secondary School in Burnley, starting at the beginning of September for the full academic year.
About the Role:
Work closely with teaching staff to support the delivery of engaging, tailored lessons
Provide targeted support to students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs
Lead small group sessions and interventions across a range of subjects
Contribute to a positive and structured learning environment
Support the development of pupils' confidence, wellbeing, and academic progressAbout You:
HLTA qualification or equivalent experience essential
Experience working within an alternative provision or with students with SEMH/behavioural needs is highly desirable
Confident in supporting pupils at KS3 and KS4
Calm, resilient, and adaptable, with excellent behaviour management skills
Able to build strong, trusting relationships with students and staffWhat We Offer:
