Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Stockwell, Lambeth
Location: Stockwell, Lambeth
Start Date: September 2025
Schedule: Full-Time (Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM)

A vibrant and inclusive primary school in the Stockwell area of Lambeth is seeking a committed and adaptable Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team. This is a full-time position, ideal for a confident HLTA who enjoys working across a variety of age groups and thrives in a collaborative, child-centred environment.
Role Overview - HLTA:
As a valued Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will work across EYFS, KS1, and KS2, delivering targeted support and leading lessons when needed. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled HLTA to make a real impact on pupils' progress and wellbeing across the school.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead whole-class lessons during teacher absences
Deliver small group interventions and one-to-one support
Assist with planning and delivering engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons
Provide high-quality support across early years and primary phases
Contribute to pupil assessments and progress tracking
Work closely with teachers and the SEN team to support individual learning needs
What We're Looking For:
A qualified HLTA with proven experience in primary settings
Confident delivering lessons independently across EYFS, KS1, and KS2
Strong curriculum knowledge and excellent classroom management
A proactive, flexible, and enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning
A team player with a passion for education and pupil development
