High-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Primary Schools – Northampton
Salary: Competitive Salary (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time / Flexible
Start Date: September 2025 or ASAP
About the Role:
As a HLTA, you’ll play a key role in supporting teaching and learning – delivering interventions, covering lessons, and helping to raise attainment across Key Stage 1 and 2.
You'll also work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to support pupils both in groups and on a 1:1 basis.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver planned lessons in the teacher’s absence
Lead small group interventions across core subjects
Support pupils with additional needs, including SEN and EAL
Contribute to planning and assessment alongside teachers
Requirements:
HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
DBS on the update service
Confident leading whole-class learning when required
Strong behaviour management and communication skills
A positive, can-do attitude and passion for education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
