Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant ready to take the next step in your education career? Do you thrive on supporting children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) to reach their full potential?
A well-resourced and inclusive SEND school in Wolverhampton is seeking a confident and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team on a long-term basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in a supportive environment where every pupil is valued, and every member of staff is appreciated.
The Role:
As a HLTA, you'll be actively involved in both leading and supporting learning across the school. This varied and rewarding role will see you:
Support students with a range of complex needs, such as Autism, SEMH, and PMLD
Deliver engaging, targeted sessions to individuals and small groups
Lead classroom-based learning during teacher absences, following set plans
Assist in the planning, delivery, and assessment of differentiated lessons
Contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere through behaviour support and emotional regulation strategiesWhat We're Looking For:
A recognised HLTA qualification or equivalent (e.g., Level 4 TA qualification or above)
Proven experience working with children or young people with SEND in a school or specialist setting
Confidence to lead learning independently when required
A calm, patient, and adaptable approach to supporting varied learning and emotional needs
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one through us)What You'll Get in Return:
