Job Description
Coba Education is a specialist recruitment agency dedicated to placing exceptional teaching and support staff into schools across Northamptonshire and beyond. With strong partnerships across the county, we are currently looking for experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to join our team and support the delivery of quality education in local schools.
Job Overview:
As a HLTA working with Coba Education, you will have the opportunity to work flexibly across a variety of primary and secondary schools throughout Northamptonshire. You’ll play a key role in supporting classroom learning, delivering pre-planned lessons, and helping to raise achievement levels for all students.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead whole-class lessons in the teacher’s absence using pre-set plans
Support teaching staff with planning, preparation, and assessment
Provide targeted support to pupils in small groups or one-to-one
Assist with classroom and behaviour management
Work closely with SEN and EAL students to support their individual needs
Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Requirements:
HLTA qualification or equivalent experience in a UK school setting
Minimum of 6 months' recent school experience
Confidence delivering lessons and managing classrooms independently
Up-to-date knowledge of the national curriculum
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
Reliable, flexible, and passionate about supporting young learners
Ability to travel across Northamptonshire
