Job Description

We are recruiting for an HLTA to work in a primary school in Southend-on-Sea. Initially the contract for this position will be for a fixed term of one year, with an aim for this to be permanent.

The successful applicant will already have achieved the Higher Level Teaching Assistant Certificate, and will:

  * Have the highest expectations of achievement and behaviour for all children

  * Teach a range of ages and abilities, covering classes in EYFS, KS1 AND KS2.

  * Have a good knowledge and understanding of The National Curriculum/ EYFS, next steps and assessment for learning.

  * Have experience of effectively managing and supporting whole classes, individuals and small groups of pupils.

  * Have experience of working with pupils with a range of additional learning needs.

  * Be well organised, with good time management.

  * Be adaptable, proactive and a supportive team player.
