Residential Children’s Home Manager – EBD
Location: Colchester, Essex | Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 | Full-Time, Permanent
We are currently recruiting for an experienced and motivated Registered Manager to lead a high-performing children’s residential home in Colchester, Essex. The home supports young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), offering a nurturing, trauma-informed environment where each child’s development, safety, and well-being is prioritised.
This is an ideal opportunity for a confident leader with proven experience managing a children’s home and a passion for creating positive, lasting change in young people’s lives.

Key Requirements:
*
Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in a children’s residential setting
*
Strong working knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015
*
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
*
Proven ability to lead, manage and inspire a team
*
Confident in handling inspections, audits, and multi-agency collaboration
*
A child-focused, resilient, and compassionate leadership approach
*
Full UK driving licence and Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
