Job Description
A Housing Association in South East London are currently seeking an experienced Homeownership Officer to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. You’ll work closely with leaseholders, shared owners, and freeholders to provide a responsive and knowledgeable service, ensuring high standards of leasehold and homeownership management.
This is a full-time role with hybrid working, requiring only 1 day per week in the office.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a caseload of leasehold, shared ownership, and freehold properties.
* Provide expert advice on leases, staircasing, service charges, subletting, and leasehold obligations.
* Coordinate Section 20 consultations and assist in managing major works processes.
* Liaise with internal teams such as asset management, repairs, and finance to resolve customer issues efficiently.
* Ensure legal and regulatory compliance with leasehold legislation and best practice.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer and property records.
About You
* Proven experience in homeownership or leasehold management within social housing or a housing association.
* Understand leasehold legislation and service charges.
* Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in both written and verbal formsBefore You Apply
