Job Description
HOSE ASSEMBLY SUPERVISOR
Andy File Associates Limited are working as a recruitment agency on behalf of our client with regards this permanent vacancy.
Hours: 40 hours per week, 6am – 2.30pm Monday to Friday and 1 – 10pm Monday to Thursday and 12 – 6.30pm on a Friday.
Salary: competitive, extra 20% bonus for the afternoon shift
Objective
To ensure hose assembly orders are completed in accordance with customer requirements, to agreed timescales with all procedures and processes strictly adhere to.
Tasks
* Supervise a team of hose technicians.
* Delegate orders to the team, ensuring on-time completion.
* Daily checks of hose machinery in accordance with H&S regulations.
* Ensure all H&S procedures are adhered to.
* SOP Audits and regular spot checking of all processes.
* Responsible for ensuring final checks done before despatch, and that first off processes are adhered to.
* Assembly of hoses to customer specifications using a range of machinery including cutters, swagers, skivers and lifting equipment.
* Regular communication with the internal sales teams as well as the customer.
* Responsibility for quality of the material/components during handling and for maintaining a clean and tidy working environment.
* Driving continuous improvement activities and CIP boards.
* Encourage the team to bring forward training requirements.
* Encourage the team to bring forward continuous improvement ideas via the C.I.P. board system.
Education
* GCSE Minimum.
Vocational Training
* Product knowledge.
* Leadership/Management Training.
Experience
* Proven experience in the hose assembly industry.
Additional Knowledge
* Knowledge of hose assembly process.
* SAP Experience.
* Health & Safety Knowledge.
