Red Snapper Recruitment are recruiting a Housing Case Investigator for our client - Private Rented Sector (3-Month initial contract)
Location: Onsite in Birmingham (3 days/week) + Remote (2 days/week)
Contract: Initial 3 months
Clearance: Basic DBS required
We're looking for experienced and driven Housing Case Investigators to join a proactive enforcement team tackling non-compliance in the private rented sector.
What you'll do:
Investigate unlicensed properties and lead on complex enforcement cases
Conduct inspections and manage enforcement action, including issuing Civil Penalties and legal proceedings
Tackle anti-social behaviour linked to privately rented properties through multi-agency working
Mentor junior staff and contribute to continuous service improvementWhat we're looking for:
✔ Proven experience in housing enforcement or environmental health
✔ Strong understanding of Housing Act 2004, HHSRS, and property licensing regulations
✔ Confident handling legal processes and representing cases in court
✔ Skilled in multi-agency collaboration and problem-solving
