One of my local government clients are currently recruiting for an experienced Development and Acquisitions Officer to join our team within the Adults, Health Partnerships and Housing Directorate.
Key Responsibilities:
*
Assist in the management of new build council housing from inception to completion.
*
Identify, assess and acquire sites/properties for permanent and temporary housing use.
*
Contribute to the redevelopment and regeneration of council housing estates.
*
Liaise with legal, planning, housing associations, estate agents, and internal stakeholders.
*
Support property purchases, disposals, and feasibility assessments.
*
Help secure and monitor funding from Homes England and other sources.
What You’ll Need:
*
HND or equivalent experience in housing services or development.
*
Strong understanding of affordable housing development processes.
*
Experience in contract/project management and partnership working.
*
Excellent communication, financial appraisal, and negotiation skills.
*
Full driving licence and ability to travel around North Northamptonshire.
*
Ability to work on-site 3 days per week.
Desirable:
*
Knowledge of the Homes England funding regime.
*
Experience conducting viability appraisals and estate regeneration.
*
Relevant professional qualification in housing, planning, or development.
