Job Title: Housing Management Worker Location: York, UK Salary: £27,575 per year Job Type: Full-time (37 hours per week, 5 out of 7 days on a rota basis) Driver's Licence Required: Yes About Us We support people facing some of life's most difficult challenges. About the Role We are looking for a compassionate and organised Housing Management Worker to provide safe, secure, and empowering accommodation and support services for women in York who are experiencing multiple disadvantages. You'll play a key role in managing safe houses, providing practical and emotional support, and working collaboratively with other professionals to create lasting change. Key Responsibilities Conduct regular property checks to ensure safety and cleanliness. Report and follow up on repairs; maintain compliance with health and safety standards. Support women to complete housing benefit forms and manage rent payments. Work with women to create support plans, risk assessments, and realistic move-on goals. Respond appropriately to incidents, safeguarding concerns, and tenancy breaches. Build strong, respectful relationships with residents and multi-agency partners. Help women access services related to domestic abuse, substance use, mental health, and criminal justice.
