Main function of the job:
To provide a comprehensive support and housing management service to Tenants within a designated patch. Enabling tenants to live confidently and independently in their own homes and enabling Support Workers to work to their full potential.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Ensure service standards are achieved and meet the individual requirements of the tenant.
* Ensure that effective, sensitive support and housing management practices are maintained by implementing Rent Assure procedures.
* Manage Ezzi UK’s tenants within designated patch, to set targets in line with team plan, and identify training needs ensuring services are delivered efficiently.
* Process void units and liaise with other departments within the organisation to ensure that units are prepared for re-let.
* Manage housing waiting lists, visit applicants at home and conduct a needs and risk assessment. Sign up new tenants, following the organisations procedures, including dealing with Housing Benefit and Supporting People applications, if required.
* Actively promote and advertise Ezzi UK and void properties within the local community and to other agencies to maintain healthy waiting lists and re-let properties within targets set.
* Ensure all information systems are updated and accurate reflecting clearly any information or agreed action.
* Support and deputise for other Housing Officers / Team Leader as required.
* Support Housing Manager/ Team Leader to manage buildings including Health and Safety and Incident reporting.
* Work with Housing Associations and Housing Manager to oversee the planned and cyclical maintenance programmes for tenants Housing, ensuring the programme is delivered as specified for Ezzi UK tenants.
* Liaise with health and social care providers, voluntary agencies and others assisting tenants to maintain their accommodation.
* Provide accurate information to customers on Ezzi UK's policies and procedures.
* To investigate nuisance and harassment complaints and implement appropriate courses of action in accordance with Ezzi UK procedure.
* To promote and support the involvement of tenants in Ezzi UK, their neighbourhoods and the services they receive.
* Actively participate as a member of the team to maintain high standards and continuous improvement. Attending regular team meetings and briefings.
* This post may require working outside normal office hours from time to time.
* To develop the Group’s commitment to equal opportunities and to promote non-discriminatory practices in all aspects of work undertaken.
* To ensure all daily, monthly logs are up to date, competed accurately and stored safely and securely.
* To ensure tenants are attended to in emergency situations and ensure an amicable solution.
* To work with the maintenance department to ensure all Rent Assure properties are compliant and in good living conditions.
* To work with other providers, governing bodies to ensure Ezzi UK is compliant and is delivering the highest standard of Support for our tenants
* To undertake any such additional duties that are reasonably commensurate with the level of this post.

* Deals with payment of rents and arrears, arranges for legal action where necessary
* Supports tenants’ groups
