Housing Officer
Location: Leigh Park Housing Office, PO9 5HQ
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Duration: 6+ Months
Working Hours: Mon – Fri, 09:00 – 17:00, 37 Hours per week
Pay Rate: £ 16.11 per hour

Responsibilities
Manage and maintain housing allocations and tenancies within the designated area.
Provide advice and support to tenants regarding housing options and services available.
Conduct regular inspections of properties to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Work collaboratively with other departments and external agencies to address housing-related issues.
Handle tenant complaints and resolve disputes effectively and efficiently.
Ensure all housing policies and procedures are adhered to and updated as necessary.
Person Specification
Proven experience in a housing management role or similar environment.
Strong understanding of housing legislation and tenant rights.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficient in using housing management software and other relevant IT systems.
Commitment to providing high-quality customer service and support.
