Housing Officer / Tenancy Management Officer / Estate Officer
Location: Harlow, Essex
Contract: Full-time, Temporary (6 months)
Rate: £23.39 per hour PAYE / £30.00 per hour Umbrella
Closing Date: Monday 18th August 2025
We are looking for an experienced Housing Officer to deliver high-quality tenancy management and estate management services for a busy Housing Services team in Harlow, Essex. This 6-month temporary contract is ideal for professionals who are confident managing housing caseloads, carrying out property inspections, and working directly with residents to sustain successful tenancies.
The Role – Housing Officer As a Housing Officer, you will:
Conduct tenancy audits, household visits, and property inspections.
Identify repair needs, tenancy breaches, and safeguarding concerns.
Manage tenancy changes, including lettings, successions, and assignments.
Respond to anti-social behaviour reports, neighbour disputes, and harassment cases.
Work in partnership with other agencies to support tenants and resolve issues.
Maintain accurate records and case notes.
Attend court, case conferences, and formal meetings as required.Key Skills & Experience – Tenancy Management Officer
Knowledge of housing legislation, tenancy enforcement, and estate management.
Proven experience in a housing officer, tenancy management, or estate officer role.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.
