Housing Officer - Bury St Edmunds (Temporary, 3 Months)
📍 Location: Bury St Edmunds

💰 Pay Rate: £18-£20 per hour (DOE)
🕒 Full-Time | Immediate Start
We are currently seeking an experienced Housing Officer to join a local authority team in Bury St Edmunds on a temporary basis for an initial 3-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity to make an immediate impact within a supportive and fast-paced housing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a patch of tenancies and provide tenancy sustainment support
Handle anti-social behaviour cases and ensure appropriate action is taken
Conduct home visits, property inspections, and tenancy audits
Work closely with internal departments and external agencies to support tenants
Ensure compliance with housing legislation and safeguarding policies
Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar housing role (local authority or housing association)
Strong working knowledge of housing legislation and tenancy management
Confident managing caseloads and resolving tenant issues
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle preferred (some travel may be required)
