Housing Performance and Systems Officer – Public Sector (Hybrid) – Lyndhurst (New Forest) Salary: £35,646 – £39,469 per annum Contract Type: Permanent Location: Lyndhurst, New Forest (occasional travel to Lymington and other remote district offices) Hybrid Working: Up to 2 days per week WFH (subject to business needs) Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week Optima Plus Recruitment are sourcing a Housing Performance and Systems Officer on behalf of our respected public sector client based in the New Forest district. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking housing organisation delivering impactful services across the region. The successful candidate will become a key member of the Housing Performance & Insight Team, supporting over 5,000 homes with a strong focus on innovation, compliance, and system-led improvement. This role will contribute directly to the organisation’s digital transformation, reporting capability, and service efficiency. Key Responsibilities: * Deliver comprehensive induction training for new staff on housing systems and procedures * Support system development, feedback collection, and help implement a new line-of-business system * Create and manage SMART KPIs, reporting dashboards, and statutory submissions * Generate regular insight reports, dashboards, and performance summaries using Power BI * Contribute to project governance documentation (RAID logs, PIDs, plans, and highlight reports) * Work with staff and managers to support system use, enhance compliance, and deliver training The Ideal Candidate Will Have: * A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential) * Strong ICT skills, with confidence in using new systems and reporting tools * Experience in data analysis, housing systems, or business reporting (Power BI highly desirable) * Excellent communication and training delivery skills for both individuals and groups * Ability to manage deadlines, priorities, and conflicting tasks effectively * Project support or project management experience within a housing or public sector setting Experience & Qualifications: * A-Level (or equivalent) required * Prince2 Foundation, or experience supporting system or service improvement projects * High attention to detail, analytical thinking, and adaptability to evolving software tools What’s on Offer: * 💰 £35,646 – £39,469 per annum (Band 6) * 🏠 Hybrid working – 2 days WFH flexibility (business needs dependent) * 🗓️ 26–27 days annual leave + additional 5 days after 5 years * 💼 Local Government Pension Scheme * 🛍️ Access to retail discounts, Cycle to Work scheme, and Employee Assistance Programme * 🚗 Casual car user status, mileage reimbursement, and free onsite parking About the Client: The client provides a full range of housing services across the New Forest area, managing over 5,000 homes.
