Job Description

Are you a proactive, motivated, and confident individual seeking a rewarding and fast-paced role within housing services? If so, we’d love to hear from you! We’re currently seeking an experienced Housing Repairs Officer to join our clients busy and dedicated Housing Repairs Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key part in supporting tenants, coordinating essential repairs, and ensuring homes remain safe and well-maintained. Full training will be provided, and there may be an opportunity for the role to be extended. The Housing Repairs Team supports tenants with a wide range of repair and maintenance enquiries. From dripping taps to more serious property issues requiring urgent attention. As a Housing Repairs Officer, you’ll be the first point of contact, providing advice, raising repair requests, and ensuring issues are resolved quickly and effectively. What You’ll Do * Provide direct support to customers via telephone and written correspondence * Assess, log, and process housing repairs using the in-house systems * Update and track changes to repairs and work orders * Liaise flexibly with contractors, housing officers, and internal departments * Process invoices, respond to enquiries, and ensure accurate record-keeping * Prioritise repair jobs in coordination with the Team Leader and caseworkers * Support with repairs and tenancy administration, including new tenancies and garage stock management What You’ll Need * Previous housing repairs experience * A proactive and organised approach, with excellent administrative ability. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence in handling customer queries. * A keen eye for detail and a conscientious attitude. * Good numeracy and literacy skills. * Solid IT skills – experience using housing systems such as Orchard is a plus. * Ability to work effectively within a team and manage competing priorities
