Key Responsibilities * Provide intensive housing-related support to tenants with complex and multiple needs, including those experiencing homelessness, mental health challenges, substance misuse, or other vulnerabilities. * Work closely with tenants to maintain and sustain their tenancies, helping to prevent tenancy breakdown and repeat homelessness. * Complete comprehensive risk assessments and support plans, ensuring these reflect individual needs, risks, goals, and outcomes. * Build trusting and professional relationships with tenants, using a trauma-informed and person-centred approach. * Support tenants to develop essential independent living skills, including budgeting, managing bills, accessing benefits, maintaining their accommodation, and engaging with services. * Liaise effectively with local authorities, social services, healthcare professionals, charities, probation, mental health services, and other external agencies to ensure tenants receive appropriate support. * Manage a caseload of tenants with varying levels of need, prioritising cases appropriately and responding to changing circumstances. * Identify and respond appropriately to safeguarding, welfare, and risk concerns, escalating issues in line with relevant policies and procedures. * Carry out property visits, welfare checks, and tenancy visits, identifying potential risks and taking appropriate action. * Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential case records, support plans, risk assessments, and case notes. * Advocate on behalf of tenants where appropriate and help them access the services and support they need. * Encourage tenants to develop greater independence, resilience, and stability, while recognising that progress may be gradual for individuals with complex needs. Requirements * Previous experience working in housing support, supported housing, homelessness, tenancy sustainment, or a similar environment. * Experience supporting individuals with complex needs and multiple vulnerabilities. * Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk management, and working with vulnerable adults. * Experience managing a caseload and producing accurate support plans and case records. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with people who may be difficult to engage. * Ability to manage challenging, sensitive, and potentially high-risk situations calmly and professionally. * A compassionate, non-judgemental, and person-centred approach to supporting tenants. * Enhanced DBS preferred, or willingness to obtain one. * Full UK driving licence beneficial but not essential.
