HR Administrator (12-Month FTC, with view to go perm depending on business needs) Location: St Albans Hours: Monday to Friday 9-5pm Salary: Up to £28,000 DOE About Us My client is a progressive, client-focused law firm based in St Albans. The Role They are seeking a proactive People Assistant to join our Practice Support Group for a one-year fixed-term contract. Reporting to the Head of People, you’ll play a key role in delivering a high-quality HR service across the firm. This is a varied and hands-on role supporting all areas of the employee lifecycle—from recruitment and onboarding to compliance and training. Key Responsibilities Provide admin support across all HR processes Co-ordinate inductions and ensure a positive new starter experience Support the recruitment process with any related administration Administer and maintain the HR system and support benefits and compliance Assist in organising firm-wide training, events, and internal HR initiatives Produce letters, contracts, reports, and maintain accurate employee records Diary management for the Head of People and team Skills & Experience Solid admin experience in a fast-paced environment (HR experience preferred) Minimum 2 years in an HR or office support role CIPD qualification (or working towards) desirable Confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills Excellent organisation, attention to detail, and time management Comfortable handling sensitive information with discretion Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint) Benefits: Holiday: 25 days + bank Pension scheme Parking on site Employee Assistance Programme.
