Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Advisor to join our clients team on a 6-month fixed term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on HR professional to provide comprehensive support across the full employee lifecycle, working closely with managers and employees to deliver a high-quality HR service.
Based in Glasgow, the role offers hybrid working, allowing flexibility to work both from home and the office.
Key Responsibilities
Provide first-line advice and guidance to managers and employees on all HR-related matters, including employee relations, performance, absence, and policies.
Support and manage casework such as disciplinary, grievance, capability, and sickness absence in line with company procedures and employment law.
Assist with recruitment and selection activities, including drafting job descriptions, coordinating interviews, and preparing offer documentation.
Support the onboarding and induction process for new starters.
Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with GDPR and company policies.
Contribute to HR projects, policy reviews, and initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement and organisational effectiveness.
Work collaboratively with the wider HR team to ensure consistency and best practice across the business.
Provide data and reports to support decision-making and HR planning.
About You
Proven experience in a generalist HR role, ideally within a fast-paced or multi-site environment.
Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
Confident managing employee relations cases with minimal supervision.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
