What You Will Do:
- Provide expert advice and guidance on all employee relations matters, ensuring best practices are followed in line with company policies and legal standards.
- Support managers with absence management, including conducting review meetings and coordinating long-term absence cases with Occupational Health.
- Act as the first point of contact for maternity, paternity, adoption, and flexible working cases, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
- Manage day-to-day HR activities, including onboarding new starters, processing leavers, and handling contractual changes.
- Assist with recruitment activities, supporting interviews, and delivering the company's induction programme for new employees.
- Contribute to HR-related projects and initiatives, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with the company's goals.
What You Will Bring:
- Proven experience in a similar HR role, with a solid understanding of employment law and HR practices.
- CIPD qualification or working towards it is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in a manufacturing or similar environment is advantageous, as is exposure to unionised settings.
