Job Description

HR Advisor Permanent Telford Salary £35,000 - £40,000 Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm (Part-time hours may be considered for the right candidate.) Our client, based in Telford, is seeking a proactive and people-focused HR Advisor to join their team on a permanent basis. This newly created role reflects the company’s continued growth and will be pivotal in shaping and supporting the HR function. Why Join This Business? * Be part of a successful and award-winning company with a strong reputation in its industry. * Take ownership of the HR function, working as a standalone HR profession reporting to the Operations Director. * Play a key role in driving positive change, enhancing employee experience, and supporting strategic growth. Key Responsibilities: * Act as a visible and approachable HR presence across the business, supporting staff and management with HR-related queries. * Lead the review and evolution of HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and alignment with market standards. * Manage disciplinary and grievance processes (currently rare but may increase with growth). * Ensure staff appraisals are completed effectively by the leadership team. * Oversee end-to-end recruitment and onboarding, from job descriptions and interviews to contracts and induction. * Promote adherence to company policies and procedures. * Lead and support HR projects such as benefits reviews, salary benchmarking, employee engagement, career development, and succession planning. * Introduce new initiatives to enhance the company’s employer brand and employee value proposition. * Handle HR administration as required. What We’re Looking For: * Proven experience in a generalist HR role, ideally within a growing business. * Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices. * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. * Confidence in advising and influencing at all levels. * A proactive mindset with the ability to lead projects and drive change. * CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above) is desirable but not essential.
