The Opportunity As HR Manager – Employee Experience, you’ll be the go-to expert for all things employee relations. You’ll provide trusted advice to managers and leaders, partner with trade union representatives, and shape policies and practices that build consistency, trust, and collaboration across the business. With this being a brand-new position, you’ll have the freedom to define its direction, develop proactive strategies, and put your own stamp on how we support and engage our people. What You’ll Be Doing ✔ Leading all employee relations casework – from disciplinary and grievance to absence and performance. ✔ Coaching and supporting managers to build confidence in people management. ✔ Reviewing and developing policies to align with legislation, best practice, and company values. ✔ Building constructive relationships with trade unions and employee representatives. ✔ Driving initiatives that promote wellbeing, engagement, and recognition. ✔ Delivering training and workshops to upskill managers and supervisors. ✔ Supporting change processes, including restructures, redundancies, and TUPE. ✔ Playing a key role in shaping our future HR systems and processes. About You We’re looking for a confident, proactive HR professional who combines deep technical expertise with the interpersonal skills to influence and coach others. You’ll be comfortable managing complex, sensitive issues while also driving initiatives that improve the wider employee experience. You’ll need to bring: CIPD Level 5 (or above). In-depth knowledge of UK employment law. Proven experience working with trade unions. Background in a manufacturing or operational environment. Strong track record in coaching and supporting managers. Ability to use data and insights to inform decision-making.You’ll be: Flexible, solutions-focused, and resilient. An excellent communicator with strong influencing skills. Detail-oriented with a drive for continuous improvement. Passionate about employee relations and workplace culture.What’s in it for you?
