The Opportunity
This is a key appointment, offering the opportunity to take ownership of a full generalist HR remit within a growing and purpose-driven organisation. Working closely with the Managing Director, you will act as a trusted partner, helping to shape and deliver people strategy while ensuring operational excellence across all HR activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the full employee lifecycle, ensuring effective and compliant HR processes across recruitment, onboarding, development, and exits
* Partner closely with the Managing Director and senior leadership team to support organisational growth and change
* Ensure compliance with employment legislation, GDPR, and safer recruitment standards
* Oversee HR systems, employee records, and reporting, using data to support workforce planning and decision-making
* Lead on employee relations, providing guidance and support to managers across the organisation
* Drive employee engagement, wellbeing, and inclusion initiatives to foster a positive and high-performing culture
* Support learning, development, and training compliance across the workforce
* Liaise with external HR and legal advisors to ensure best practice is maintained
About You
* Proven experience in a generalist HR Manager role
* Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
* Experience working in a fast-paced, growing organisation
* Confident partnering with senior stakeholders, including Director level
* Passionate about people, culture, and making a positive impact
* Ideally experience within care, education, or a regulated environment (desirable)
