We are looking for a pro-active HR Manager to continually improve the activities of the HR function, to ensure delivery of the site and Group HR strategy, in line with Company policy, legislation and best practice.

Description
As the HR Manager, you will be Responsible for the successful delivery of the People Strategy as well as being part of the Senior Team. You will:
Lead the HR team in providing first-line HR support across the business
Drive the HR agenda and contributing to business success
Develop and initiate strategies to recruit, engage and retain talent
Develop and implement a performance driven culture
Manage Payroll for all staff on site
Lead the Training and Development programme on site delivering core training programmes, development programmes and skills development
Advise and improve their recognition and reward programmes
Oversee training and career development
Create and lead on projects to improve HR reporting, processes, and systems
Ensure compliance with UK Employment Laws
Coach managers on employee relations including disciplinaries, grievance and performance management
Lead on policy & procedures, reward, HRIS, TUPE, leadership development and other specific projects
Manage employee relations processes to ensure that grievance and disciplinary issues are resolved as quickly as possible.
Ensure the appraisal process is delivered, manage development and personal progression, manage poor performance through employee development or contract termination, monitor absence and ensure appropriate action is taken.
Contribute to the continuous improvement in business performance.
Lead on Union negotiations, annual pay negotiations, consultations and management of terms and conditions.
Lead on TUPE and redundancy consultations.
Take responsibility for successful delivery of Department and Company restructures.Profile
The successful HR Manager should have:
Significant experience working in a People (HR) function -Manufacturing or similar industry would be an advantage.
Experience of end to end recruitment including advertising, interviewing, candidate assessment and final offer
Employee relations knowledge and practice
Accuracy in People administration and use of HR platforms (HRIS, Payroll and clocking systems, Benefits portals)
Experience managing payroll and employee benefits Experience covering the whole HR remit - Employee Relations, Onboarding, Training & development, Union Negotiations, Management of short and long term absence
Reporting of HR KPI's at a senior level
Ability to demonstrate influencing skills
Confident in own ability and decision making
Curious to challenge the status quo
Job Offer
Competitive salary in the range of £50,000 to £55,000 per year.
