Job Description
HSE Advisor – Hyperscale Data Centre Project – Denmark
A top-tier European main contractor, specialising in the delivery of large-scale, mission-critical projects, is seeking a committed and experienced HSE Advisor to join its expanding team in Denmark. This role supports a high-value hyperscale data centre development and is essential to maintaining world-class safety and environmental standards on site.
You’ll be joining a dynamic team working on one of Europe’s most technically advanced builds, with long-term project visibility and a strong culture of safety leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct regular health, safety, and environmental audits, inspections, and risk assessments in line with local Danish regulations and corporate HSE standards.
* Manage and review Permit to Work systems for high-risk activities such as hot works, confined spaces, electrical isolation, and working at height.
* Lead investigations into incidents and near-misses, producing detailed reports with corrective and preventive action plans.
* Deliver clear and engaging site inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing HSE training sessions to operatives, subcontractors, and visitors.
* Monitor environmental performance including waste segregation, pollution control, and energy efficiency as part of the project’s sustainability goals.
* Promote a proactive safety culture by engaging regularly with all project stakeholders and supporting site leadership in behavioural safety initiatives.
Candidate Requirements:
* Degree-qualified in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or similar.
* 3+ years of HSE experience on large construction projects (mission-critical or data centre experience strongly preferred).
* Strong knowledge of EU and Danish safety legislation and environmental compliance frameworks.
* Capable of working in a fast-paced, multi-contractor environment with excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Fluent English required; experience in international or multicultural teams is a plus.
