Health & Safety Advisor
Location: Oxford
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 + package
An established and respected civil engineering, infrastructure, and groundworks contractor is looking to appoint a Health & Safety Advisor to support their growing operations across the South West.
With live sites spread throughout the region, this role offers a great opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, including groundworks packages, S278 schemes, and wider civils infrastructure.
The Role
Reporting to the HSE Manager, you’ll be responsible for promoting and maintaining a strong health and safety culture across all sites, ensuring full compliance with legislation and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and toolbox talks
* Support site teams with RAMS, inductions, and incident investigations
* Advise on risk assessments and safe systems of work
* Maintain accurate records and produce H&S reports
* Work closely with project managers and site teams to drive best practice
Requirements:
* NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent)
* Experience in a similar role within civil engineering, groundworks, or construction
* Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation and site procedures
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Full UK driving licence (travel between sites required)
