Job Description
HSE Advisor – Data Centre – Finland
Our client is a dedicated Data Centre Construction company providing turnkey solutions to our clients, headquartered in Dublin and delivering throughout Europe. As an engineering-focused organisation, they have grown to become one of the leading and most trusted companies in our sector. We are currently constructing multiple Turnkey Data Centre Projects across Europe, equating to over 500 MW of IT load in flight.
We are pleased to announce that we are currently seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to join our team. This position will be based on-site in Helsinki, Finland.
Responsibilities
* Site Safety Leadership
Lead the implementation of project Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, ensuring compliance with Finnish legislation, EU standards, and company requirements across all construction and commissioning activities.
* Risk Assessment & Permit Oversight
Develop, review, and monitor Risk Assessments, Method Statements (RAMS), and permit-to-work processes, ensuring high-risk activities—such as lifting, hot works, energisation, and confined space operations—are controlled and executed safely.
* HSE Inspections & Compliance Monitoring
Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and behavioural safety observations, identifying non-conformances and driving corrective actions to maintain a zero-incident environment across all trades and subcontractors.
* Training, Inductions & Safety Culture Promotion
Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and targeted safety training, actively promoting a proactive safety culture and ensuring all workers understand project-specific HSE rules and best practices.
* Incident Management & Reporting
Lead the investigation of incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, producing clear reports with root-cause analysis and corrective actions, and ensuring lessons learned are communicated across the project team.
Requirements
Must have relevant HSE Qualifications i.e. NEBOSH
Must have 4+ years’ experience in a similar role on large scale construction projects (preferably Data Centres)
