The opportunity Our client is currently seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Advisor to join a dynamic project team on a major infrastructure development within the nuclear sector. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring operational safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement in HSE performance across a complex, multi-disciplinary site. Your duties and responsibilities will be Providing expert guidance to the project team on HSE legislation and best practices. Supporting the planning and execution of work in accordance with site-specific HSE requirements. Leading risk assessments and helping the team develop safe systems of work tailored to the project scope. Promoting a positive safety culture through active site presence, coaching, and team engagement. Monitoring and reporting on HSE performance, including subcontractor activities and workplace conditions. Investigating incidents and near-misses, identifying lessons learned, and driving improvements. Delivering site inductions, toolbox talks, and targeted safety training. Working closely with client representatives, partners, and internal HSE personnel to align on goals and share best practices. Reviewing and updating HSE management systems in line with project needs.You will have the following qualifications and experience  A committed HSE professional with TechIOSH membership (or working toward it). Solid experience in a similar role on large-scale construction or commissioning projects. A proactive and confident communicator who can influence behaviour and challenge unsafe practices.
