Job Description
We are seeking an experienced HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Advisor to join our team on a 6-month contract for the mechanical installation phase of a large-scale solar farm project. The role is based full-time on-site and will play a key part in ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting a strong safety culture, and supporting operational teams throughout the construction phase.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor day-to-day site activities to ensure compliance with HSE standards, procedures, and legal requirements
Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments specific to mechanical installations (e.g., racking systems, trackers, module mounting)
Deliver toolbox talks, inductions, and ongoing HSE training to site personnel
Investigate incidents, near misses, and non-conformities, and support implementation of corrective actions
Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, and HSE reporting
Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and subcontractors to foster a proactive HSE culture
Ensure appropriate use of PPE and adherence to safe systems of work
Support environmental protection measures and sustainability practices on-site
