The Opportunity
Join a high-performing, culturally diverse team delivering one of Europe's most ambitious data centre construction projects. As HSE Lead, you'll play a critical role in ensuring safety excellence on a large-scale, high-voltage build. Key Responsibilities
Lead identification and management of high-risk activities across all project phases.
Drive implementation and continuous improvement of risk control measures.
Develop clear reporting and communication structures for HSE performance.
Engage with contractors and teams to evaluate site-level safety planning.
Act as a visible safety leader through audits, mentoring, and culture-building.
Design and implement project safety strategies and procedures.
Conduct independent audits and drive corrective actions.
Ensure contractors maintain outstanding safety practices aligned with standards.
Maintain and enhance health and safety management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
Lead investigations into incidents and implement preventive measures.
What We're Looking For
10+ years of construction safety management experience, ideally in data centres, pharma, or high-voltage infrastructure.
OSHA 30-hour training or local equivalent.
Management and incident investigation training.
Strong contractor management and stakeholder engagement skills.
Deep knowledge of European HSE regulations and standards.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital reporting tools.
Legal right to work in the Netherlands and willingness to be based in or relocate to Groningen.
