Are you ready to lead Health, Safety & Environmental excellence on one of the UK's most ambitious energy infrastructure projects?
We're recruiting on behalf of a globally renowned engineering and principal contracting firm, delivering the Isle of Skye Converter Station-a critical component of the UK's HVDC transmission network. This multi-year build is a cornerstone of the national energy strategy, and we're seeking a seasoned HSE Lead to drive safety culture and compliance from groundworks to commissioning.
🔍 What You'll Be Doing:
Leading HSE strategy and implementation across all phases of the converter station build.
Ensuring full compliance with UK HSE legislation and client standards.
Driving proactive safety culture across multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.
Managing audits, incident investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Acting as the key interface between site operations, client stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
✅ What We're Looking For:
Proven experience as an HSE Lead on major infrastructure or energy projects.
NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (essential).
Strong working knowledge of CDM regulations and UK HSE frameworks.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience in HVDC, substations, or converter stations is highly desirable.
