HSE Manager
 Location: Ryde, Isle of Wight
Salary: £50,000 – £56,000 per annum
Contract: 3-Month Contract (Potential Extension)
Hours: Monday–Thursday 8:30am–5:00pm | Friday 8:30am–1:00pm

Pertemps Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced HSE Manager to join a busy manufacturing site based in Ryde.

 This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on Health, Safety & Environmental professional looking for an immediate contract role, with the possibility of extension beyond the initial 3 months.

 The Role
 Reporting to the General Manager, you will take full responsibility for Health, Safety and Environmental activities across the site, ensuring compliance, promoting a strong safety culture, and driving continuous improvement.

 Key duties include:

Managing and maintaining HSE systems and procedures
Ensuring compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards
Leading accident, incident and near-miss investigations
Carrying out risk assessments and supporting audits
Promoting safe working practices across the business
Supporting environmental compliance, waste control and energy management
Producing HSE reports and KPI data
Acting as the main contact for external HSE bodies and inspections
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site
 About You
 The ideal candidate will have previous HSE experience within a manufacturing environment and be confident working in a standalone role.

 You will ideally have:

NEBOSH Certificate qualification minimum
Manufacturing or industrial experience
Good understanding of UK HSE legislation
Experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards
Strong communication and organisational skills
The ability to influence and engage employees at all levels
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
 Environmental qualifications or further NEBOSH study would be beneficial but not essential.
