Job Description

HSE Manager Role Purpose The NEBOSH qualified Officer will be responsible for ensuring that all Environmental, Health, Safety; Welfare legislation including any Group and site - specific requirements are implemented, maintained and adhered to. You will support and develop new policies related to safety, health and environmental concerns and advise on corrective action to minimize risk to employees and the business. You will be required to ensure full compliance to customer requirements and or BS EN standards. Hours of Work - Monday - Friday (8:30am - 5pm) Salary: Up to £50,000 starting salary Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: * To review and update HSE policies and conduct / update risk assessments as and when required. * Evaluate and ensure the legal compliance of the site in HSE policies and promote all Company health and safety and welfare topics * To take a proactive role in providing Managers and Supervisors with specialist advice, support and guidance regarding H&S and Environmental issues, legal & other requirements * Chair the Health, Safety & Environmental Committee meetings * Communicate effectively at all levels on EHS and management system issues. * Conduct internal audits and inspections of manufacturing and contractor processes and business departments and resolution tracking. * Implement continual improvement initiatives on manufacturing and business processes within EHS management driving improved EHS performance. * Develop and maintain procedures for EHS management and support the planning and implementation process. * Administration of computer and database systems, including maintenance of records and preparation of documents * To Implement & maintain all the requirements of ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 Standards * To work closely with Project Teams and Production personnel as and where necessary to develop appropriate standards of ‘safe systems’ for new projects / processes / machinery etc. based on current and potential legislation using IESHR document. The above sets out the main responsibilities and tasks for the position. The list is not exhaustive. and involves many other aspects of a HSE role. Requirements for the role: * NEBOSH qualified * Strong background in Health & safety with a keen drive to progress and learn within a new role * background of ISO 45001 & 14001 standards * Experience within a large manufacturing background is preferred * Ability to work unsupervised, use initiative and manage your own time * Full Driving licence as you may be required to travel between other sites within the group. * Organised and diligent with paperwork and documentation Please click to apply or call the team on (phone number removed)
