Job Description

Job Title: Group HSE Manager Location: NG24 1RZ Hours of Work: 40 hours, Monday to Friday Salary: up to £55k + Car / Car Allowance Start Date: Immediately (flexible for notice periods) Due to expansion and growth an opportunity is available for a HSE Manager to drive change and maintain standards across our client’s Group structure. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will lead health, safety, and environmental (HSE) efforts across all businesses within the group, comprising construction, manufacturing and architecture businesses units. This role suits a confident, experienced HSE leader who can drive high standards across diverse business units while supporting a positive safety culture and environmental focus. Key Responsibilities * Develop and maintain HSE policies and systems across the group. * Ensure legal compliance with UK HSE regulations (CDM, COSHH, PUWER, etc.). * Conduct audits, risk assessments, and accident investigations. * Report on HSE performance to the senior team and board. * Support sustainability and environmental initiatives. * Train and support staff on HSE matters. * Oversee emergency planning, behavioural safety, and wellbeing efforts. Essential Qualifications & Experience * NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent Level 6 H&S qualification). * 5+ years in a senior HSE role within construction and/or manufacturing. * Strong knowledge of H&S legislation and best practices. * Experience with risk assessments, auditing, incident investigation, and insurance claims. * Leadership and communication skills, with a proactive, hands-on approach. * Full UK driving licence. Desirable Extras * NEBOSH Environmental Diploma. * Chartered IOSH membership. * ISO Lead Auditor certification (45001 / 14001). * Experience with digital H&S systems and sustainability.
