HSE Manager (Development Opportunity – Step Up Role)
Location: Scunthorpe, UK (office-based with some travel required)
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Contract: Permanent, Full-time
About the Role
Our client is seeking a motivated and ambitious HSE professional to join their team in a key role focused on health, safety, and environmental leadership across their UK operations. The role would suit an experienced HSE Advisor or Coordinator ready to progress into a management role, or a developing HSE Manager eager to grow within a supportive business.

Key Responsibilities
* Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of HSE policies and management systems across the business
* Conduct risk assessments and recommend practical control measures
* Lead or support internal audits and assist with external inspections
* Contribute to incident investigations and root cause analysis
* Provide training, coaching, and guidance to employees on HSE matters
* Monitor compliance with UK HSE legislation and company standards
* Liaise with clients and subcontractors regarding HSE requirements and expectations
* Participate in pre-contract planning, including preparation of HSE documentation for tenders and project planning
* Support operational teams with training and safety management when required
Key Requirements
* NEBOSH Certificate (minimum requirement)
* Experience delivering HSE training or toolbox talks
* Good understanding of UK HSE legislation and compliance requirements
* Confidence to communicate effectively at all levels and build positive working relationships
* ISO audit participation and incident investigation experience preferred
* Industrial services or high-risk environments experience is desirable
* Must be located within commuting distance of Scunthorpe and willing to travel within the UK as required.
