HSE Manager – Manufacturing Site Leadership
📍 Eastleigh, UK
💰 up to £50,000 + Car or Up to £56,000 (DOE)| Full-Time | 5 Days/Week On-Site
We’re looking for a proactive and experienced HSE Manager to lead all Health, Safety, and Environmental activities at our Eastleigh facility. This is a site-based leadership role focused on the safety of our fabrication workshop and providing remote support to our service and commissioning teams.
🛠️ The Role
Following a recent management restructure, this role is crucial in driving cultural change and embedding a proactive HSE mindset across the site. Reporting to the UK QHSE Director, with a matrix link to local site leadership, your responsibilities will include:
Leading all aspects of Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance at the Eastleigh manufacturing site
Supporting the safety of on-site operations and remote teams (limited travel, mostly local)
Conducting risk assessments, audits, and site inspections
Investigating incidents and near misses, identifying root causes, and driving corrective actions
Delivering HSE inductions, training, and ongoing awareness across all levels
Championing a positive safety culture and continuous improvement initiatives
Participating in national HSE forums and supporting wider sustainability reporting
Managing the site facilities register and contributing to broader facilities oversight
🧠 About You
You’re a hands-on HSE professional with manufacturing experience and a track record of improving safety performance. You bring:
NEBOSH General Certificate (essential)
2–3+ years of Health & Safety experience (minimum)
Manufacturing or fabrication background (essential)
Familiarity with UK HSE legislation and standards
Strong communication, influencing, and leadership skills
Experience in conducting audits, investigations, and risk management
Confidence to drive cultural change and challenge the status quo
A self-motivated, organised approach with a focus on practical solutions
📍 Location & Travel
This is a full-time, on-site role based at our Eastleigh facility. You’ll be on-site 5 days per week with occasional local travel as needed to support field teams.
