Job Description

An established business within the HVAC and refrigeration sector is currently seeking an experienced HSQE Advisor on a full time permanent basis to join their central support team based in Dartford. This position plays a key role in maintaining and developing effective Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental management systems, ensuring full compliance with legislation and industry best practice across the business. You will work closely with management, project teams and site personnel to identify hazards, reduce risk and support consistent compliance standards. This is a multi-site role requiring regular travel to support operational locations nationwide. Key Responsibilities as HSQE Advisor * Support the HSQE Manager with the maintenance and improvement of HSQE management systems * Implement, monitor and review HSQE procedures, documentation and reporting processes * Provide technical advice to directors, managers, employees and subcontractors * Support project delivery to ensure full CDM compliance, including Client, Principal Contractor and Principal Designer duties * Act as a client interface for HSQE matters * Investigate incidents, accidents and near-miss events and implement corrective actions * Develop and manage audit programmes aligned with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards * Monitor contractor compliance and conduct site audits and inspections * Report performance trends and improvement actions to senior management * Maintain effective preventative and corrective action systems Essential Skills & Experience as HSQE Advisor * A confident HSQE professional able to work independently and collaboratively * Excellent verbal, written and report-writing communication skills * Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities * Full flexibility to travel to multiple sites * Strong IT skills including Word, Excel and database systems Desired Qualifications & Knowledge of HSQE Advisor * Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar HSQE role within construction, engineering, manufacturing or building services * NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent) * Demonstrable experience working to: * ISO 9001:2015 – Quality * ISO 45001:2018 – Health & Safety * ISO 14001:2015 – Environmental * Internal or Lead Auditor qualification (QMS, EMS or OHSM) * Professional membership such as IOSH, IIRSM or ISEP * Working knowledge of CDM Regulations * NEBOSH Environmental or Fire Safety Certificates * Level 3 Award in Education & Training * CCNSG Safety Passport * Experience working with accreditations such as Safe Contractor or JOSCAR Why Consider this HSQE Advisor? * Salary: £42,000 – £48,000 * Company vehicle, 25 days holiday, Defined pension contribution plan, Life assurance, Private medical insurance, Company sick pay scheme, Ongoing professional training and development support If you want to join a forward-thinking HSQE team dedicated to ensuring safety, compliance and operational excellence across the business, please apply now
