HSQE Advisor – Rail (Central Belt, Scotland)
Principal Rail Contractor
We’re working with one of the UK’s leading rail and utilities contractors, who are looking to appoint an HSQE Advisor to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the safe and successful delivery of key Network Rail projects across the Central Belt.
The Role
Reporting to the HSQE Manager, you’ll play a key role in driving health, safety, quality, and environmental standards across active rail sites. Most of your time will be site-based, working closely with managers and operational teams to ensure compliance and best practice.
Key responsibilities include:

Conducting site inspections, inductions, and safety briefings
*
Supporting teams in the field and providing on-the-spot coaching
*
Attending client meetings and representing the business with professionalism
*
Identifying training needs and supporting workforce development
*
Leading accident and incident investigations, including root cause analysis and action tracking
*
Promoting a strong safety culture and driving continuous improvement across the business
What We’re Looking For
*
NEBOSH qualification (minimum requirement)
*
Previous experience working within the Network Rail infrastructure (essential)
*
Strong communication skills with the confidence to influence and engage teams
*
Flexibility to occasionally work outside standard hours (e.g. possessions, training)
