Human Factors Consultant
Location(s): Birmingham, Bristol, Cheltenham, Derby, London, Manchester or Silchester
Salary: £40,000–£50,000 per annum
We are currently recruiting a Human Factors Consultant for a leading global consultancy firm. If you have a background in human factors and a passion for enhancing safety and performance in high-hazard industries, this could be the ideal opportunity for you.
About the Role
As a Human Factors Consultant, you will be involved in delivering human factors expertise across various sectors, including Defence, Nuclear, and Transportation. Your responsibilities will include:
Conducting human factors assessments to support safety cases and engineering programmes
Providing human factors integration into multi-disciplinary teams
Maintaining client relationships and supporting business development activities
Contributing to innovation and knowledge sharing within the human factors community
What We're Looking For
A degree or postgraduate qualification in Human Factors, Applied Psychology, or similar
Experience in delivering human factors projects, particularly in high-hazard industries
Knowledge of human reliability assessment methods and techniques
Familiarity with relevant human factors standards and guidelines
Excellent report writing, presentation, and communication skills
CIEHF Registered Member status or equivalent, or working towards chartership
