Job Title: Human Factors Engineer
Location: Cambridge (Hybrid – Home and Office Based)
Contract: 12-Month Initial Contract
Rate: Up to £23.39 per hour (PAYE)
Hours: Full-time
Our client is seeking a Human Factors Engineer to join their Devices Centre of Excellence team in Cambridge. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to contribute to global drug delivery system projects, supporting usability, design, and regulatory documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with internal teams, external design partners, and human factors vendors to deliver usability engineering activities.
* Manage and document use-related risks and contribute to Instructions for Use (IFU) documentation.
* Support the generation of human factors regulatory documentation.
* Provide expert guidance on human factors engineering across the organisation.
* Project manage the supply, assembly, and testing of materials for human factors studies.
Requirements:
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in Human Factors Engineering, ideally within combination product/device development.
* Excellent written English and ability to produce clear, concise documentation for regulatory authorities.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Desirable:
* Advanced qualification in Human Factors/Usability or related field.
* Understanding of pharmaceutical or medical device regulatory requirements.
* Background in a medical or healthcare-related discipline.
