This is a rare chance to take full ownership of HR in a growing engineering consultancy. You’ll shape everything from hiring to policies, with real influence and no legacy systems to hold you back. It’s a blank canvas for an ambitious HR pro to build something lasting.

There’s already a strong order book, so you’ll be joining a secure business with plenty of breathing room to do things properly. And with the directors being entrepreneurial and open-minded, your ideas won’t just be heard - they’ll help shape the business.

What you’ll be doing

  * Develop and manage HR policies and procedures from the ground up, tailored to the company’s needs.

  * Handle the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, and personnel file maintenance.

  * Assist in creating process documentation, such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and job aids, to standardise HR functions.

  * Support compliance audits and regulatory reviews, ensuring employee data and offboarding processes meet legal requirements.

  * Implement and interpret HR policies across teams, maintaining consistency and compliance in practices.

What you’ll need

  * At least 3 years of HR experience in a related industry, with a solid understanding of HR functions.

  * Strong presence and communication skills, enabling you to influence and engage with stakeholders at all levels.

  * An ambitious, visionary mindset, ready to shape the future of HR in this business.
