Aspire People is currently recruiting on behalf of a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in East London for a passionate Humanities Teacher to join their team from September. This full-time position is ideal for both experienced teachers and enthusiastic ECTs looking to grow their careers in a supportive and ambitious school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging and thought-provoking Humanities lessons (History, Geography, or Religious Studies) across **Key Stages 3 and 4**
* Foster a dynamic classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and discussion
* Assess, track, and report on student progress in accordance with departmental and school expectations
* Differentiate teaching to support the needs of **SEN**, **EAL**, and high-achieving students
* Contribute to curriculum planning and development within the Humanities department
* Uphold high standards of behaviour and academic expectations in line with school policies
* Take part in school activities, enrichment programs, and wider community initiatives
* Commit to continuous professional development and collaborative departmental work
Requirements:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
* Strong subject knowledge in at least one core Humanities discipline (History, Geography, or RS)
* Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills
* A reflective, inclusive, and enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning
* A firm commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
