A diverse and inclusive secondary school in Coventry is currently seeking a dedicated Humanities Teacher to join their committed Humanities faculty. The school has a strong ethos of respect, community, and achievement, and provides an inspiring learning environment where students are encouraged to explore the world around them through a rich and challenging Humanities curriculum.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a qualified and passionate Humanities Teacher to teach across Key Stages 3 and 4. The successful Humanities Teacher will ideally have the flexibility to deliver a combination of subjects such as History, Geography, or Religious Studies, depending on the department’s needs. This is a full-time role for an individual with strong subject knowledge, excellent classroom practice, and a genuine enthusiasm for Humanities education.
The Humanities Teacher appointed will contribute to curriculum development, student engagement, and academic success within a well-supported team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and informative lessons in Humanities subjects
Foster students’ curiosity, critical thinking, and awareness of global issues
Use data and assessment to support progress and attainment
Support the school’s values and commitment to inclusive education
Collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality Humanities provision
Qualifications & Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
A degree in History, Geography, Religious Studies or a related field
Experience as a Humanities Teacher in a secondary setting
Strong communication and organisational skills
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students
