Role Overview
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Design & Technology Teacher with a passion for inspiring the next generation of designers, engineers, and makers. You will join a close-knit, experienced department that works collaboratively to share resources, run design competitions, and support hands-on learning. The successful Design & Technology Teacher will teach a mix of Product Design, Resistant Materials, and Graphics across KS3 and KS4.
As a Design & Technology Teacher, you will:
Plan and deliver engaging, practical lessons that develop both design thinking and technical skill
Guide students through iterative project work and support them in completing high-quality NEA portfolios
Promote safe workshop practices and encourage independence in design and making
Play a key role in whole-school creative initiatives like school exhibitions, eco-design challenges, or enterprise projects
What We’re Looking For
We’re keen to meet a Design & Technology Teacher who has:
QTS and a relevant degree or industry background in D&T or related field
Knowledge of CAD/CAM software (e.g. 2D Design, SolidWorks, Adobe Illustrator)
A passion for inclusive, hands-on teaching
The ability to work collaboratively and contribute positively to department development
