Job Description
Senior Authorised Person (SAP) - UK Wide (Wakefield)
Are you an experienced Senior Authorised Person (SAP) with strong HV private networks experience?
NEOS Engineering are partnered with a leading electrical engineering business who specialise in HV installation, maintenance, and commissioning up to 33kV. They are seeking an experienced SAP to join their operations team, delivering safe, reliable, and efficient engineering solutions across customer networks.
Key Responsibilities:
•Provide technical solutions and proposals in line with customer requirements.
•Manage HV and LV projects, ensuring specification, cost, time, and quality targets are achieved.
•Lead on Health & Safety across projects, ensuring compliance and safe working practices.
•Organise and execute HV switching, isolation, earthing, and issue of safety documentation up to 33kV.
•Undertake on-site testing, commissioning, and maintenance of HV distribution systems, switchgear, and protection systems.
•Liaise with clients and manage sub-contractors to ensure smooth delivery of works.
•Support onshore and offshore maintenance scopes when required.
Requirements:
•HV Senior Authorisation status (DNO or equivalent).
•Minimum 5 years’ experience within an electrical contracting/HV environment.
•HNC in Electrical Engineering – Power Distribution (preferred).
•City & Guilds in HV Operational Safety.
•IOSH/NEBOSH qualifications desirable.
•Strong technical knowledge of HV private networks, switching, and protection systems.
•Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a safety-first approach.
•Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
