Commercial Gas / HVAC Engineer
Hertfordshire / Buckinghamshire / Bedfordshire
£58,000 Basic + Overtime + Door-to-Door Travel
My client are a well-established, medium-sized HVAC specialist with an excellent industry reputation, strong staff retention rates, and clear career progression opportunities. The business focuses on delivering high-quality commercial heating and HVAC services across the Home Counties and prides itself on long-term staff development and support.
The Role
They are seeking an experienced Commercial Gas / HVAC Engineer to join their growing team. The role will primarily involve the service, maintenance, repair, and breakdown of commercial gas and boiler systems, with some involvement in air conditioning works.
This is a field-based role covering Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, and Bedfordshire, offering door-to-door travel pay, excellent earning potential, and long-term career prospects.
Key Responsibilities:
Service, maintenance, and breakdown repair of commercial gas appliances and boiler systems
Fault finding and diagnostics on commercial heating systems
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
Completing reactive maintenance works efficiently and safely
Basic servicing and fault finding on air conditioning systems (desirable)
Ensuring all work complies with industry regulations and company standards
Completing accurate job reports and documentation
Requirements
Proven experience working with commercial gas systems and boilers
Valid Commercial Gas Qualifications (e.g. CODNCO1, CIGA1, etc.)
Some working knowledge or experience with air conditioning systems (advantageous but not essential)
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Full UK Driving Licence
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
